Culinary Herbalist Pat Crocker is the bestselling author of 18 cookbooks including the Kitchen Herbal, Healing Herbs Cookbook and The Juicing Bible and her books have sold over 1.25 million copies worldwide. She is past president of the Ontario Herbalists Association, an active member of the Herb Society of America and the International Herb Association and has been honoured twice by the IHA’s Professional Award for outstanding contributions to the Herb Industry.
Dr. Marisa Marciano is a Naturopathic Doctor at Evoke Integrative Medicine in Vancouver, an international herbal consultant & a faculty member at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine & the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. Her passion and expertise for plant therapeutics also led her to create 'The Naturopathic Herbalist.com', an herbal resource intended to serve as a relevant and reliable source of online botanical information.
James Christian is a Medical Herbalist, having studied with the College of Phytotherapy in the UK and is currently completing a M.Sc. program at the University of Central Lancashire studying Herbal Medicine with a specialty in Herbal Education. He is currently the Director & Dean, School of Western Herbal Medicine at Pacific Rim College and is a professional membership in the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy (CPP) in the UK.
Bev is a medical herbalist, international speaker, owner of Maya Natural Health and is a professional member of both the National Institute of Medical Herbalists and the American Herbalist Guild. In addition to her private practice, Bev is also a member of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals specializing in wholistic solutions during midlife at the West Coast Women's Centre for Midlife Health in Vancouver, BC.
A practicing Medical Herbal Practitioner. A co-founder of Elixir Herbal Healthcare, White Rock Wellness Centre Inc., White Rock Wellness Store Inc. & Health Yourself to Wellness. He currently lectures at Dominion Herbal College in Clinical Pathology, Differential Diagnosis, Clinical Diagnosis & Phyto-Pharmacology for whom he also supervises the student training clinic. He is a professional member of the Canadian Herbalist’s association of B.C. and National Institute of Medical Herbalists (UK)
Gudrun Pensilen has over 30 years of experience as a practitioner and teacher in complementary health. In her practice in northern Alberta she integrates herbal medicine, reflexology, Bach Flowers, iridology, sclerology, light and colour therapist and energy work. She has presented workshops and lectures all over North America and has become a featured guest on international radio shows.
Evelyn Coggins is a graduate and faculty member of Dominion Herbal College and holds a Masters of Health Science degree in botanical medicine from the University of New England NSW. She lectures at Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine where she is an adjunct faculty member in Botanical Medicine.
Krista Dawn Poulton BKin, Dip. Phyt. (RHT) is a graduate of Pacific Rim College and is in private practice in Victoria, B.C. The focus of her practice is on reproductive health and family care. She is passionate about women’s health, particularly with reproductive empowerment.
Kim is a naturopathic physician trained at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, and has a special interest in women and children’s health. Kim has recently moved her practice from the Vancouver area to the Kootenays. She is a passionate supporter of people’s ability to reclaim their health and herbs are one of the tools she uses to help them reach that goal.
Colleen is a Master Herbalist and owner of Emery Herbals. Colleen graduated from the Master Herbalist program at Wild Rose Herbal College in 2003. Since then she has dedicated time to evolving her herb studies, studying with the East West School of Planetary Herbology and the Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy. She runs a retail store and client consultation practice in Winlaw, BC. Offering workshops for adults and children, Colleen is sought out to speak on numerous health topics.
Marion Mazzocchi is a flower essence practitioner and creator of the Elemental Essence as well as the Kootenay Flower Essence line of products. She is trained as a Registered Nurse, specializing in maternal care and she is also a Registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, Reiki Master, and has an advanced certificate in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
Rachel is a medical herbalist and homeopath with an extensive background in natural medicine. She has been in private practice for over 20 years. She teaches the Herbal Practitioner Associate Diploma Program at the College of the Rockies. She lectures on natural medicine at colleges, community groups and events, has written articles on natural health-related topics for magazines and online, and has written a book on therapeutic herbalism. Currently she is also co-owner of Tilia Botanicals Ltd.
Keith is a trained botanist, wildcrafter, herbalist and author of several books on plant identification and the medicinal uses of plants. For the past 20 years he has taken groups on plant identification and foraging walks and generously shares his vast knowledge and passion for plants with all.
Sarah Orlowski is a Master Herbalist in clinical practice for over 20 years. She has taught extensively, including for UBC Farm, Simon Fraser University, the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, Douglas College, the Canadian College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Van Dusen Gardens. She co-owns an organic, permaculture food forest and medicinal herb farm in Grand Forks, BC.
Michelle Cubin is the owner of Healing Hollow aromatherapy products. She started blending and researching essential oils in 2005 and now in 2016 you can find her company’s the blends in 60 retailers across Canada and the USA as well as two Healing Hollow locations.
